Abstract :
This paper refers to the standard coding architecture of Trellis-Coded Modulation (TCM) specified in IESS-310 (INTELSAT EARTH STATION STANDARDS), illustrates and analyzes the Phase Ambiguity Resolution Encoder, Convolutional Encoder and Constellation Mapper in TCM coding mechanism, and also explores and produces the integration design of coding and modulation of TCM. Different from the conventional TCM trellis diagram, this paper adopts special designed TCM coding diagram to produce the coding procedure. Finally, it realizes the hardware circuit of proposed TCM coding on the system platform of Software Define Radio (SDR) [1].
