Abstract
This paper presents an improved volts/Hertz induction motor control using fuzzy logic design. It allows generating the nonlinear volts/Hertz characteristic at low speed range in order to compensate the stator resistance effect. The comparative study between the ordinary volts/Hertz control and designed volts/Hertz fuzzy logic control shows clearly that the second one presents an increase of motor torque characteristics accompanied by reduced machine losses without the stator resistance knowledge
