We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
Chicken Mx protein has been reported to confer positive antiviral activity to influenza virus and vesicular stomatitis virus in vitro. The full-length Mx cDNA (2729bp) was isolated from White Leghorn breed, then registered in the GenBank under the accession number EU348752.1. The ORF sequence (2118bp) of the Mx was successfully expressed in E.coli which was first reported. Western blotting analysis indicated that Mx protein of 75kDa can be specifically detected in E.coli. The gene structure, alignment of protein and cDNA sequence of different chickens and different species and the expression in the E.coli laid the foundation of extensive analysis of gene function and antiviral activity study of chicken.
