Abstract :
A method of optimal design for minimization of force ripple and maximization of thrust force in linear brushless permanent magnet motor (BLPMM) without finite element analysis is represented. The optimal design method consists of two steps. Step one is process of minimization of force ripple and step two is a process of maximization of thrust force. By using the electric and geometric parameters of motor obtained by this method, force ripple minimized and thrust force maximized linear BLPMM is developed and applied to long stroke and precision positioning system
