            Abstract : 
This paper presents a hybrid excitation-type synchronous machine. The new machine has both a permanent magnet and wound fields on the same shaft. The rotor structure that allows field regulation is shown. The test results obtained on a 0.75 kVA prototype machine demonstrate the capability for field regulation
