Abstract :
This paper reports an empirical investigation conducted to identify the major factors that impact the adoption of electronic procurement in Chinese manufacturing enterprises. A research model inspired by the technology-organization-environment framework is postulated. Logistic regression is used to examine the relationships between the technological, organizational and environmental characteristics and the enterprisespsila adoption of e-procurement. The results generally offer support for the research model and indicate that relative advantage, top management support, external pressure and external support are determinant factors of e-procurement adoption. These findings can be used to develop strategies to promote the successful adoption of e-procurement by enterprises.
