  • Abstract
    In this design, a Samsung S3C2440 micro-processor is used as the central controller, with a TC35i GSM module to send and receive the short messages. And Chipcon´s CC2430 micro-processors are used as the ZigBee network module. The main parts of the whole system are ARM9 control unit, the SMS sending and receiving unit, wireless sensor networking, and the part of user interface. Multiple sensors are real-time monitored by the system. When the value of any sensor exceeds the preset threshold value, an alarm short message is automatically sent to the purpose phone by the system. Managers can also complete the control and timing functions of devices remotely by sending a SMS to the system. Managers can also request the system to transmit the information of sensor status by sending a unique SMS. The real-time information of various sensors and equipment´ timing is displayed on the local main interface. Users can also complete the setting of GSM module such as the number of short message center and the purpose phone, the electrical timing setting such as the time to open or close for the device, and the setting of sensors such as sensor alarm threshold value and the buzzer switch.
