Abstract
A robust torque estimator for induction motor drives is described. The estimator is based on a full-order MRAS flux observer and implemented in the TMC320C243 DSP controller. Low price of the DSP controller allows application of the torque estimator in inexpensive drive systems, both uncontrolled and controlled, for industrial and domestic applications. Implementation details and experimental results are presented
