Abstract :
A device have been developed for monitoring the process of DNA loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) reaction through absorbance measurement. The LAMP reaction has a high efficiency and can synthesize large amounts of DNA in a short period of time. As its by-product pyrophosphate ions can be combined with magnesium ions, forming a white precipitate of magnesium pyrophosphate. The change of sample absorbance can be detected on line by an optic sensor. We can not only determine whether the LAMP reaction happened or not by the difference of absorbance between the start point and the end point but also monitor the dynamics process of LAMP reaction.
