Abstract :
Plasma influence of a volume discharge in CO2 laser mixtures of high pressure on a microstructure of electrode active surfaces and their autoemissive properties are investigated. A correlation between changing in a microstructure of the electrode surfaces and increase in autoelectronic currents, the formation of local channels in a cathode area of the volume discharge and limitation of the lifetime of small-sized sealed-off TEA-CO2 lasers is stated. Materials more stable to a change in a structure of the surface under the influence of plasma of the volume discharge are noted. A new model of the emission center formation initiating an appearance of local channels is suggested
