Abstract :
The paper considers peculiarities of the thermo-field (F-T) mechanism of electron emission occurring under conditions of the vacuum arc cathode spot. The problem of the effect of individual fields of ions arriving at the cathode on the side of plasma on the additional outcome of electrons as a result of local deformation of a potential barrier near the surface is formulated. Expressions were derived to determine the number of the emitted electrons and results of calculation are given
