Abstract
Transport telematics or intelligent transport systems (ITS) include a lot of tools and services from information and communication technologies. The paper presents an approach for ITS reliability analysis with evaluation petri net modelling with many specific aspects of reliability analysis and modelling: multilevel structural hierarchy; multifunctional objects of modelling; different nature of failures (hardware, software, human, organizational); heterogeneous components of the modelling system; open structure of ITS architecture and its model and others. The dynamic behaviour of the reliability model at various levels of abstraction is discussed on the base of analytical properties of Petri Net.
