Abstract :
A CAD tool for the semi-automatic synthesis of high-efficiency microwave power amplifiers is presented. The basic theory and the implementation of the algorithm, based on the simultaneous and consistent solution of circuit equations together with design goals, are illustrated. The tool allows the designer to obtain a pre-optimised power stage in terms of input and output optimum loads at fundamental and harmonic frequencies
