TMN-based audit of routing tables in SS7 networks

The audit of routing tables in SS7 networks using MTP Routing Verification Test (MRVT) procedure has been standardized by ITU-T. This paper presents an alternative method which takes reference to the former method but is fully TMN-based. Following an introduction to the existing MRVT method, the paper describes the agent architecture for applying the new method. A further discussion is then devoted to how to implement the audit logic in this architecture as an agent application. Finally, a conclusion is given to the advantages of the proposed method
