Abstract :
It is widely recognized that the hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) networks remove customer broadband access “bottleneck” for the B-ISDN and information superhighway. In this paper, the HFC system is introduced. A new method to implement the station acquisition process is proposed. The throughput and delay performance for the station random acquisition method are analyzed
