Abstract
The purpose of the study is an attempt to find out and examine the factors affecting the effectiveness of interorganizations knowledge transfer in the process of collaborative R&D in mechanism manufacturing and IT industries in China. On the basis of literature research and interviews with collaborative R&D organizations, a knowledge transfer influencing factors theoretical framework is proposed. The empirical study is conducted through a research survey by questionnaire on mechanism manufacturing and IT industries. This study constructs SEM model and uses multivariate statistic analysis tools, AMOS7.0, to verify the relations of variables. A total of 143 respondents were samples. The results of the study indicates that the higher degree of ldquoknowledge transfer processrdquo, the higher degree of ldquoeffectiveness of knowledge transferrdquo; ldquoresources involvementrdquo, ldquoknowledge context applicabilityrdquo and ldquoknowledge transfer meansrdquo are significantly and positively related to ldquoknowledge transfer processrdquo; ldquothe information symmetryrdquo is highly related to ldquoknowledge identifying abilityrdquo; and ldquoknowledge identifying abilityrdquo which doesnpsilat directly relate to ldquoknowledge transfer processrdquo but positively correlates with ldquoknowledge transfer meansrdquo; ldquothe disseminative capability of the knowledge sendersrdquo and ldquothe absorptive capability of recipientrdquo positively and significantly correlates with ldquoknowledge context applicabilityrdquo.
