Abstract :
According to the test method proposed by Sub-Committee G of the International Special Committee on Radio Interference, it seems that almost all telephone receivers have insufficient immunity to acoustic noise from radio-frequency fields. This paper shows that the modulation depth of the RF signal in this test is too high to model the audio-frequency components of TV video signals, from which most of this noise comes, and that the modulation depth should be reduced from 80% to 5% for a more realistic simulation
