Abstract
Streak camera is widely used to estimate the motion parameters of the projectile in weapon tests. It is difficult to achieve a satisfactory level of accuracy, as it is subject to strict synchro-ballistic relationship between the projectile and the camera. In order to tackle this problem, a novel method based on an equivalent Orthogonal-Streak design is proposed. Stereo projectile images are generated on a single film simultaneously, from where key points are selected to calculate velocity, attitude and the angle of attack. The simulation experiments show that our method can maintain accuracy and robustness even if the measurement is performed in incompletely synchro-ballistic photography.
