  • Abstract
    Through characteristic analysis of laser crystal by diode laser end-pumped, a rectangle laser crystal thermal analysis model is introduced. Based on the heat conductive equation and its boundary condition, a new solution is deduced and the analytical solutions of laser crystal interior temperature field and pump-face thermal deformation field are obtained. The critical factors, such as pump power, pump spot diameter, Nd-ion doped concentration, which would influence temperature field and thermal deformation distribution, are discussed. The simulated results are first demonstrated experimentally, and the results are in excellent agreement. The research of rectangle laser crystal will supply a theoretical instruct for solving thermal lens effect of laser crystal and improving laser performance.
