Abstract :
The car-following traffic flow model proposed by Bando et al. is modified by adding an acceleration-adjustment term. Moreover this modified model is extended by incorporating multi-vehicle characteristics. Analysis of linear stability on circuitous road is done. Numerical simulations for two-type-vehicles traffic systems and three-type-vehicles traffic systems show that the growth and decay of a small disturbance are related not only to the vehiclespsila behavioral parameters but also to the proportion of each type of vehicles.
