Abstract :
Here we proposed a method to calibrate several important geometric parameters for cone-beam CT (CBCT) systems. Only three point-like objects and their spatial distances are required for the calibration. Our method is based on the analysis of the ellipse trajectories of the points´ projections. Our mathematical expressions are much simpler than similar methods and our method yields better stability. The calibration procedure has been tested on numerical simulations and an actual micro-CT system.
