Abstract :
This paper discusses the implications of redesigning a traditional digital electronics for a new mechatronics degree, as well as the experiences gained in new approaches used. The course incorporates new educational methods such as project/problem based learning, and use of simulation packages. The author has tried to make this course a life long learning process by incorporating project based learning concepts. Students learned the subject faster with enthusiasm as compared to traditional methods used in the past.
