  • Abstract
In this paper, non-linear conductive characteristic of silicon rubber/silicon carbide(SiC) was experimental researched, then electric field distribution of cable termination with nonlinear external insulation was simulated and analyzed. The experimental results showed that the conductivity and non-linear conductive coefficient of the composites increased with the contents of SiC. The conductivity and non-linear conductive coefficient of the composites filled by nano-meter SiC were superior to those of the composites filled by micro-meter SiC with the same content. The simulation result indicated that the electric field of stress cone of cable termination reduced obviously after the application of non-linear external insulation in traditional cable termination.
