Abstract :
Government credibility is of crucial importance for improving governmental performance and guarantees its vitality .Yet presently there is tendency for government credibility and government performance in inverse direction, mainly originated from the selective acceptance of government (G), media (M) and public (P) toward governmental information and communication differentiations in the process of dissemination of information. This paper, aiming at improving governmental credibility and based on related researches conducted both home and abroad, firstly, analyzes information selection mechanism among government, media and public, then does further researches into the government credibility loss by applying the mechanism and finally proposes some workable suggestions to improve government credibility in China by means of analyzing information selection mechanism among government, media and public (herein after called GMP), avoiding communication differentiation and enhancing public understanding toward government.
