Abstract :
The influence of electric field profile on the interaction efficiency is considered for microwave generator using field emission and transit-time effects. It is shown that there is optimal dc voltage profile in the gap (determined by the electrodes´ geometry and voltages) at which interaction achieves maximal value (25%)
