Abstract
The authors describe the experimental results of an application of a fuzzy control scheme to stabilization of electric power systems. Three proposed types of fuzzy control algorithms are reviewed, from which two were implemented on a microcomputer with the function of analog to digital and digital to analog converters to check the feasibility of fuzzy algorithms for power system stability control. Performances of the controllers were tested on both one-machine/infinite-bus and two-machine/infinite-bus systems installed in the laboratory. The merits of fuzzy controllers are discussed based on the results obtained
