Abstract
A delay diversity receiver for code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular systems is proposed and analyzed. It is shown that the proposed receiver can achieve a remarkable diversity gain with reasonable cost and complexity from the perspective of outage probability. The proposed receiver can find its application to IS-95/cdma2000 1x base stations with simple modifications.
