Abstract
A predictive fuzzy control scheme is presented. The emphasis is on the adaptation mechanism for the knowledge-based linguistic prediction model. The adaptation mechanism used is based on a set of fuzzy dynamical equations according to mathematical dynamical system theory. A road tunnel ventilation control system incorporating the scheme is described. Much better control performance in terms of regulating the air quality in the tunnel and reducing the electrical energy for the ventilation requirements has been achieved
