Abstract
When trellis-coded modulation is used in the multi-carrier system, the total bits increase and vary with the transmission bandwidth, the gain obtained by each subchannel is not the same. So the optimum bit allocation of the system becomes more difficult. This paper has synthesized those factors and improved the previous algorithm to adapt the multi-carrier trellis-coded modulation system. The simulation results have shown it is close to the optimum
