Abstract :
The technical problems is analyzed in the paper on the base of the principle of permanent magnet synchronous motor design. According to the special segmented construction of submersible motor, end leakage reactance and the method of skew magnet are respectively investigated. The method of rotor backward fixing for permanent magnet submersible motor is put in. By establishing the finite analysis model of the six-pole permanent magnet submersible motor, the cogging torque is analyzed and the result proves that this method has a positive effect to reduce the cogging torque. Also, CAD software is developed for six-pole permanent magnet submersible motor. In contrast to asynchronous motor, performances of permanent magnet submersible motor gets a better improved.
