Abstract :
The wavelength conversion with 2.5 Gbit/s, 60 ps return-to-zero optical pulse based on cross-gain modulation (XGM) in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is reported. The experimental phenomena are theoretically analyzed. The experimental results show that it is difficult for the wavelength conversion with RZ optical pulse based on XGM in SOA
