Abstract :
It is requested that the 3G mobile system should support multi-mode operation, especially multi-mode terminals. This paper, on the basis of evaluating the software radio technology, produces a new multi-mode architecture of the 3G mobile system based on software radio, and discusses some issues on realizing this kind of flexible 3G mobile
