  • Abstract
The authors propose a unified approach to the problem of identification of the rotor speed and parameters of the induction motor. The identification of the speed and parameter of the induction motor is developed on a common framework of the adaptive control theory. The approach based on the nonminimal realization for partial identification also includes the MRACS (model reference adaptive control system) as a special case. It is shown that various kinds of identifiers can be constructed depending on what kind of representation of the induction motor is adopted. Many fundamental results in the adaptive control theory, such as the persistent excitation condition, the exponential convergence, etc., can be applied in a straightforward way
