Abstract :
Recoil impulse of ablation products is a dominant source of thrust during laser ablated polymer, the laser ablation numerical model was founded to research this process. Based on the experiment phenomenon, put forward the threshold energy as ablation criterion, and set up the energy distribution equation to described the interaction. Computed and analyzed some interested propulsion parameters. Compared to experiment data, the model well revealed the rule of thrust generation and propulsion capability of polymers.
