Abstract :
Devolo developed a tool for monitoring and debugging the power line network. If the end-users accepts, each power line communications (PLC) device sends periodically reports to a central data base. These reports show the network topology as well as some additional information on the link status such as the physical data rate for example. This information is collected and used for field analysis. This paper shows a summary of the statistical analysis of more than 7 million records collected from more than 23,200 users distributed all over Europe.
