Abstract :
PTS algorithm is an effective method to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio of OFDM system. However, it needs a special channel to transmit side information. So, grouped phase control method based on PTS technology has been proposed to improve it. In order to replace the PTS side information, the new algorithm inserted phase control coding sequences into grouped sub-carries at the transmitter, and at the same time it used pseudorandom sequence mapping method to group these subcarriers. At the receiver, phase rotation factors of every subcarrier were correctly recognized by the inserted phase control information. The new method simplified PTS-OFDM system construction, saved frequency resource and reduced bit error rate. Simulation results showed that new algorithm could not only enhance the reliability of the system, but also could improve peak-to-average power ratio performance.
