Abstract :
Modified Sequencing Batch Reactor is primarily an aerobic process in sewage treatment. The oxygen demand is relevant to organic matter degradation. Dissolved oxygen in reactor variation depends on concentration of water flow, aeration and sludge concentration. The experimental study shows that the higher concentration of water flow and more oxygen demand, the longer reaction time; the more air supply and the faster organic matter degradation, the shorter reaction time. All the features above in sewage treatment procession can be reflected by DO variation in reactor. So it is feasible to adopt DO as a sewage treatment procession and endpoint control parameter in MSBR.
