Abstract :
A 2-6 GHz WiMAX low noise amplifier (LNA) is designed and implemented in 0.18-mum CMOS process. This low noise amplifier utilizes improved techniques on current-reuse topology and high-pass input matching network to achieve high gain and low noise. The LNA presents a maximum power gain of 14.6 dB at 6 GHz. The simulated minimum noise figure (NF) is 2.5 dB with less than -12.6 dB S11. The total power consumption is 8.14 mW at 1 V power supply.
