In the study, a simple and efficient liquid phase microextraction method floated organic drop microextraction (FDME) coupled with high performance liquid chromatography for the analysis of carbamate insecticides in water was developed. Factors relevant to the extraction efficiency were studied and optimized. The components were separated by a Diamonsil C18 analytical column (5 μm,250mm×4.6mm i.d.). The mobile phase was a mixture of acetonitrile, methanol, and water (the ratio of volume was 17:40:43). The limit of detection(LOD) for this method was 1-4 ng/mL. The linear range of the calibration curve was from 1-400 ng/mL with a correlation coefficiency (R) >; 0.996. The average recovery of the components ranged from 81.35% to 111.10%. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) were 0.70-2.56%.
