Abstract :
Metal artifact is one of major problems in CT imaging. With the presence of metal, the X-ray beam would be heavily attenuated and that introduces severe streak artifact after filtered back projection (FBP) image reconstruction. Here we proposed a simple post-processing interpolation (Post_PI) method which is similar to conventional interpolation (Pre_PI) method but without the need of raw projection data for recovering the missing data caused by the attenuation effect.
