Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the far-zone electric patterns of an array of coaxial conducting loops lying on cylindrical and spherical surfaces, with wide inter-element spacing ranging from 1/spl lambda/ to 5/spl lambda/. These patterns are compared in their beamwidth and sidelobe levels with loop arrays mounted on surfaces with random geometry, and the results show that the improvement or deterioration of the field patterns depends on the degree of randomness.<>
