  • Abstract
Oil spill is a main problem of present marine pollution. Using SAR to monitor it has many unique advantages, such as all-weather, all-aerospace, and impervious to cloud and snow. This paper firstly introduces the SAR data, and then analyzes the spectral features of spilled oils on the sea. In accordance with the spectral features of oil on the sea, we design a technical process of spilled oil distribution extracting, including image correction, water area mask, image grayness, anti-color processing, image filtering and smooth, spilled oil distribution extracting and post-treatment. This paper takes Dalian spilled oil events on 7.16 as a background. The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the application of SAR data on spilled oil extracting, in order to help promote the overflow oil exploration technology.
