Abstract :
A fault diagnosis system has been developed to enable district heating and cooling facilities to provide stable heat supplies, and this system has been proved using real facilities. The system uses both human judgement and system judgement in a dialog function. A control tree diagram and a characteristic graph are used for each rule, and a tree diagram is easily made and used. Duties are shared between remote diagnosis and field maintenance. A highly sensitive diagnosis is realized by adopting a characteristic estimation method through the temperature of the river water that is used and the load variation through the four seasons. As a result of the estimation of daily data, the threshold levels are improved and the diagnosis accuracy is increased. In daily use, this system can provide stable operation because it monitors the health of the plant, including degradation factors occurring naturally
