Abstract
We present a new scheme of delivering messages over user-friendly code images grabbed by mobile devices with error correction. Our method utilizes a wavelet transform based texture modulation for message embedding and applies a predictive coding idea to establish variance order among the neighbor blocks which is served as a feature to distinguish message bit in the extraction phase. Furthermore, we develop an error correction algorithm based on Hamming code idea with a code spreading strategy. As a result, our method achieves excellent visual quality of the code images, high capacity of message embedding, and good error correction capability.
