Abstract
Reliable positioning of CDMA cellular users in a mobile environment relies on accurate knowledge of the time-of-arrival (TOA) and angle-of-arrival (AOA) of the first arriving ray. An adaptive procedure is developed for AOA estimation under multipath and multiuser conditions. Simulations illustrate how the adaptive solution improves location accuracy.
