Abstract
Biosensor for environmental monitoring has developed greatly in recent years. This paper introduces the latest progress of biosensor and emphasizes its applications on environmental monitoring. Several typical applications are explained such as the determination of BOD, sulfide, organophosphorous pesticide, heavy metal and so on. And a summary of biosensor´s prospects are discussed. Our work is to develop a new biosensor for some special pollutants with genetic engineering technology.
