In the Netherlands, pesticides are monitored separately by different local water authorities. These authorities can decide which pesticide should be monitored at what frequency in which place and at what time. Therefore, if possible to predict where and what pesticide will be present in the surface water, it will definitely help improve the monitoring efficiency greatly. In this research, based on the growing crops, it is possible to predict the pesticide usage and therefore to predict the possibility of pesticide occurrence in the surface water. This occurrence prediction was shown with a map which is so called the prediction map. It can be used to help make the decisions more reasonable and make the monitoring system more efficient and systematic, based on which monitoring facilities can be applied more efficiently.
