Abstract :
The engineering model (EM) of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) antenna for the European remote sensing satellite ERS-1 has been electrically tested on a dedicated planar near-field test facility. An outline description of both antenna and test facility is given. Radiation characteristics of the antenna are presented that show good electrical performances for the model antenna.<>
