Abstract :
Interactions between two resonant switching converters are analyzed. In resonant switching converters, not only the beat phenomenon which occurs in PWM (pulse-width-modulated) switching converters is found to occur, but also the phase lock-in and chaotic oscillation is observed. The behavior of a full-wave type resonant switching converter is described. For a half-wave type resonant switching converter, the low-frequency oscillation during the phase lock-in did not occur either in the experiment or in the simulation. It is thought that the reason is that the damping factor in the half-wave type resonant switching converter is much larger than that in the full-wave type
