Abstract
This paper discusses the area of studying subject "Automatics" in Tallinn Center of Industrial Education. The effectiveness of engineering education depends upon the teaching style of an instructor and the learning style of a student. The methods of active learning can be applied in order to improve the balance between these styles are described. There are several teaching strategies that can be employed by an instructor, including problem solving, laboratory work, home assignment and group discussions. Described the contents of theoretical and practical courses, equipment, software and laboratories what are used in discipline "Automatics" studying process.
